Aksubayevsky District ((ロシア語:Аксуба́евский райо́н); ) is an administrative〔Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan〕 and municipal〔Law #12-ZRT〕 district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the south of the republic. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Aksubayevo.〔Order #01-02/9〕 Population: 33,154 (2002 Census); The population of Aksubayevo accounts for 31.1% of the district's total population.〔 ==Demographics== Ethnically, 44.3% of the population are Chuvash, 38.5% are Tatars, 16.6% are Russians, and 0.6% identified as other ethnicities.
